DISPATCH CENTER
The City of Benwood Dispatch Center operates 24 hours a day and is committed to public safety through the provision of effective and efficient police, fire, rescue and emergency medical services (EMS).
Dispatchers serve as the vital link between those in need of help and the first responders who provide it. Our highly trained team of dispatchers deliver communication support and coordination for all city public safety agencies and are skilled in quickly evaluating and prioritizing incoming emergency and non-emergency calls for service. In addition, after dispatching calls for service to law enforcement and fire service personnel, they are responsible for tracking the location of field units and monitoring the safety of personnel in the field.
